Club, Small

Primary Materials: Hardwood A wooden weapon between 2’-4’ long designed for striking. A club is not just a piece of firewood or a random branch (see Heavy Stick), but a weapon intentionally made for warfare or hunting, hard and heavy enough to cause damage while also light and balanced enough to wield in combat. Clubs are usually made of relatively hard wood, and shaped to cause injuries, with mace-like striking heads, knobs or other protrusions, blade or flange-like striking surfaces, and etc. Think of something more like a modern axe-handle or maul handle at the very least. Clubs were widely used as primary weapons in all parts of the world, from Germany in the 2nd Century AD to the Pacific islands in the 19th. Smaller clubs tend to be heavier and stouter than longer clubs. A small club is a fairly light weapon usually designed for hunting or personal protection rather than explicitly for warfare, though they are also used in war. Clubs can also be thrown like axes or daggers
