This is kind of a big deal. Maybe the second most important thing that happened to me today. This author is by far the single most important and useful source I’ve ever read on the late medieval period. Unfortunately his book was out of print for a long time, because it’s still not very well known in the English-speaking world. I have this translation in print, to get the printed book it costs $150 and though it is a very good translation, it has a pretty bad index, making it hard to search. This is the first time I have ever seen it available in digital format, and I don’t know how long it will be available. But here it is for now.
